GARDEN STATE TORTOISE is proud to
announce that we have joined forces with LES
VILLAGE DES TORTUES (Turtle Village)/
S.O.P.T.O.M. in Gonfaron, France to help
preserve the rare Western Hermann's tortoise
(Testudo hermanni hermanni). These tortoises
are disappearing in the wild at a rapid rate and
it is only because of conservation groups such
as S.O.P.T.O.M., that they will be able to stand a
chance at all. With our work and knowledge
through captive breeding efforts  with T. h.
hermanni, and their constant attention to
rebuilding wild populations, we are excited to
offer an exclusive T-shirt to the public in order to
help the cause. For each T-shirt that is sold, a
donation will be made to Les Village des
Tortues to aid in their ongoing research and
headstarting programs dedicated to the
Western Hermann's tortoise. Support wildlife
and help save these incredible animals!
